ProTip: Search often won’t work unless you “own” the folder/files… because “Security.”

Try the well known “Take Ownership” reg hack before you go downloading the whole
internet looking for a tool that probably won’t fix this.

Slow indexing on windows 7 x64, rebuilding index doesn’t help, troubleshooting indicates “Incorrect permissions for search service directories” but that shouldn’t be an issue. All required services are up…

windows 10 keeps updating, they keep altering areas, so the chances any of the tips given will work on the next build is hit or miss.
Anand can only give advice for one build. The anniversary 1607 was build 14393.0 in 2016, it now stands at build 14393.969 (March 2017) and will soon be 15005.+ which I believe is the creators update (11th April 2017 so I’m informed).
