I am facing same error -0x80244018, I tried above mention method but I’m using proxy server for access internet so it;s not working.

It’s so weird. We have a Linux firewall at work and windows updates have always worked in Windows 7. As soon as we updated to Windows 10, we get this 0x80244018 error. Maybe Windows 10 is looking for updates in a different way than Windows 7 and it’s getting blocked…hmm.
