In Search box type CMD. You will see Command Prompt in the search result. Right click on cmd and select Run As Administrator. This will open the Command Prompt window. To see how to run the System File Checker or sfc /scannow see: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-run-system-file-checker-analyze-its-logs-in-windows-7-vista

Or else download our FixWin freeware and click on the Run System File Checker button. Download the one for your OS -

Thanks but I could not make this work. In item 4 you say "Enter the Command Prompt". I did not know what that meant so I typed in C:\WindowsSystem32>. That diidn't work so then I typed in that plus the sfc.exe/scannow and that didn't work. What am I doing wrong? I admit to being a 69 year old dinosaur who doesn't understand.

I had the the same message" Explorer.exe: :" Class not registered", Blocking all access to the start menu and Edge browser. To fix it in Windows 10, this will solve the problem:
1. Ctrl+Alt+Delete to access Task manager.
2. Click File then click Run new task
3. First, check the box: Create this task with administrative privileges.
4.Enter the command prompt
5.C:WindowsSystem 32> type here: sfc.exe/scannow then hit enter; you will see the system starts to scan till 100% complete. Restart your computer ( You may just press the start button to shut it down then restart) to find out.

If it doesn’t help, then its quite possible that your ExplorerFrame.dll may have been corrupted and that you may have to replace it with a ‘good’ one.

Open an elevated command prompt, type the following and hit enter to run the System File Checker:

sfc /scannow

try this
it should work

The module "ExplorerFrame.dll" was loaded but the entry-point DllRegisterServer was not found.

Make sure that "ExplorerFrame.dll" is a valid DLL or OCX file and then try again.
