U need to log into your routers webpage… go to a web browser and in the address bar type in the routers IP address something like 192.168.168.1 Try looking on your modem for this information. If not try this…. open windows file explorer, in the quick access pane on the left scroll down to the bottom, click on Network. Under the title Network infrastructure, your modem should be listed, right click and select view devices webpage, then log in and change the necasary settings

When following these instructions, the box that comes up on my husband’s laptop does not have Ethernet in the list, just Wireless and Remote. He has an ethernet connector in the laptop, but Windows doesn’t appear to know this.
