Oh, Andy - I wish that this article was done about 5 days ago. My Hubby's PC did just this and I tried everything that I knew how to do trying to fix it. Bottom line, I had to re-install Windows 7 Home. Yes, I know - Windows 7? Both of our PCs were Windows 10 Free Upgrades. I do know how to get back to Windows 10, since I had to do it with my own PC, thank goodness. But if I could have done this, I just might have saved myself a lot of time and energy. This is a keeper for me. I think this could easily happen more often than not. ????
