Bing app for Windows 8 makes your Search Experience More Fast and Fluid

We haven’t missed much on latest build of Microsoft’s newest OS – Windows 8; but, each day is full of surprises. Today’s surprise comes in the form of Bing app for Windows 8. Bing after making some tweaking improvements has announced the final version of Bing app for Windows 8.

The app has been especially designed to shine on Windows 8 with ‘search results’ feature being its highlight. The feature displays results in the form of horizontal-scrollable tiles rather than vertical menus, something that we saw earlier in Release Preview version of the OS.

Searching with the app has now more fast and fluid. All thanks to a couple of new features such as:

  • Autosuggest – Microsoft has improved its autosuggest feature on Bing to provide more timely and accurate results.
  • Fluid navigation – A simple swipe of the finger lets you scroll through the next set of results.
  • Image previews and smart captions – Image search just got a lot more immersive. When searching for that perfect photo on the web, Bing brings back a comprehensive collage listing of images. Simply tap or click on the thumbnail to get a full-screen preview.

That’s not all! Bing has decided to complement some Windows 8 apps to help users complete their task/search quickly, without much effort. These include:

This app helps you find directions, determine traffic conditions about certain place and get there easily without much hassle.

Allows getting a preview of current weather conditions at your favorite places. In short, the app forecasts news on rain, snow and temperature.

The photo-rich app updates you on current affairs, depending on your topic of interest (National, world, technology, entertainment, politics, sports, and health)

The Finance app helps you take an informed financial decision by providing a quick overview of key market indices via a live tile.

The app helps you get an overview of the top sports headlines, live scores, schedules and much more.

The Travel app lets you explore more than 3,000 destinations from all over the world. Plus, it helps you find the right flight or hotel at the right price.

If your query falls into any of the above mentioned apps results, these apps will make every possible attempt to provide you with full details available to them from across the web.
