With smart devices, any operating system will be sending back information to vendor or third parties. At least, that is the buzz in this field. I will be writing a paper on who exactly owns the data your smart devices send back to vendors or third party ‘researchers’. Since devices are connected, there will be little privacy. Of course, as you say, you may select an OS that offers more privacy but I cannot agree if you say it won’t store any data. It is actually, a question of which OS sends less data, who receives it and what they do to the data.
