Source code is opensource and licensed under the GNU LGPL, except the third-party unrar library that proprietary software.

If you think that is not open source for that reason. What about when Linux makes use of closed proprietary drivers, like nVidia and AMD? It ceases to be open source?

It might be freeware, but that’s not the same as Open Source.
