StatCounter is reporing that the global desktop market share of the yet to be publicly released Windows 7 is almost double that of Linux.

Windows 7 grabbed a global market share of 1.32 % global desktop share, in the Operating Systems category.

Windows 7 is planned to be released on 22nd Oct, 2009.
