Do you get a white dot on the top-left corner of your Windows 7 screen when an Aero theme is selected and “Enable transparency” is unchecked?

It appears that this is a known issue in Windows 7, and Microsoft is very much aware of it!

One white dot of size, 1 pixel, could appear on the top-left corner of the screen in the following scenarios:

In Windows 7 Home Basic Edition, the issue may occur after a user selects the “Windows 7 Basic” color theme and changes the wallpaper.

In Windows 7 Ultimate and other editions listed in the “Applies to” section, this issue may occur after a user selects an Aero theme and then un-checks “Enable transparency”.

Applies to Windows 7 Home Basic, Windows 7 Professional, Windows 7 Home Premium & Windows 7 Ultimate.

Well I tried it and didn’t get the dot! Do you?

Thanks for the screen-shot Ravi!

I have tried it but couldn’t reproduce the white dot. I think it depends on the GPU.

i often see that on my laptop. i thought it’s just a program loading and a big fail to hide itself by a pixel. and i also thought that this is CFI shelltoys
