Windows Live Hotmail has got an exciting feature called as Linked ID’s, which lets you link your multiple Windows Live ID’s with each other easily. If you have more than one email id then this feature is meant for you!
It is different from Adding an email account option. Linked ID’s provides you the facility of switching between the accounts without logging out, from one account. If you have logged in one of your Windows Live account then you will be automatically logged in to all your Linked accounts. This facilitates the easy navigation and switching between multiple IDs and save your valuable time also.
To use this feature you have to take following steps:
1. First click on your name appears on the upper right corner of your account in your browser window. Then click on Account option.
2. Now Scroll down and click on Linked IDs option available in the list of Other options.
3. Then click on the Add Linked ID option. It will also list all the Linked IDs and option to Unlink them also.
4. Enter the information asked and click on the Link button. (You can only link Windows Live Hotmail IDs)
That’s it! Your IDs are now linked, to swap between IDs just hover on your name showed at upper right corner of your account window and select from the IDs listed there!
To unlink one or all of your IDs, simply go back to your Account settings and choose Unlink.
One note of caution! If any ever gets access to even any one of your IDs, then that person will now get access to ALL your other Windows Live IDs.
