In the past we had seen many Twitter tools and apps for enjoying a better Twitter experience. Little tweaks on the Twitter web interface will add spice to it if you are an interface lover. There are many Twitter clients available for tweeting, but majority of the people love its web interface for its simplicity and because it offers many customizations like changing the background color, design pattern etc. Today we will see how to tweak your Twitter sidebar and make it transparent.

Having a transparent sidebar on Twitter is a bad idea, because if your background color has similar to the text color, then making it transparent will make it look ugly and invisible.

Open Twitter.com and log in to your account.

Next Click on Settings and then Design.

Now copy this Javascript code which is given below and paste it in your browser address bar. I used Firefox. It may not work in Internet Explorer 9.

javascript:document.getElementById("user_profile_sidebar_fill_color").value = '';document.getElementById("title_theme").innerHTML = 'Click The Save Changes Button At Bottom To Finish!!';void(0);

Once you have copy-pasted the above code in the address bar, hit Enter and click Save changes at the bottom. Now you can see the transparent sidebar on your Twitter account.

    Press ‘Enter’. The words: “Click The Save Changes Button At Bottom To Finish!!” will appear at the place where the text “Select a theme” use to be.

    Scroll down and press the save changes button.

    Molly put in the code.then clik save. then click change design colors. then save again. it should work

    hi,it used to work perfectly before i switched to the new twitter and switched to google chrome..but i attempted to work it with the normal internet and it still didnt work,i dont know if its because of me using google chrome or something else..please can you help because i’ve tried so many other things and it just hasnt worked.Thanks!

    it didn’t work for me in chrome or explorer. i put it into Opera. hit enter and then went and hit save changes before opera ever had a chance to load a new page. it worked. FINALLY.
