Launched on 20th April 2009, TheWindowsClub.com (TWC) completes 1 year today! TWC was launched 2 years after WinVistaClub.com was launched, and I must say that it has been an interesting and an eventful year!
Blogging about Windows has always been an activity of joy for me… and I have done so with the same passion, as would a gardener, tend his garden!
I am quite satisfied with the way TWC has shaped and progressed! The year has had its moments some of which are being high-lighted below:
- The Windows Club is recognized as a Microsoft Featured Community.
- One of my tutorials was converted by Microsoft into the First MVP Fix It!
- This year too, we conducted The Best Windows Website Contest successfully.
- TWC has successfully nominated 3 of its forum members to the Microsoft MVP Award program.
- Over 1200 posts were written & published by me on TWC in the last year.
- TWC has released over 25 freeware applications for the Windows 7 & Vista user in its 1st year. You can see the complete list here.
- The website traffic has shown a steady growth. Roughly 45% of my visitors are from Direct address or Bookmark, 30% from Internet Search Engines and 25% from links from an external page.
- Over 96% visitors use Windows OS. Internet Explorer users accounted for 45 %, Firefox users, 35% and the rest are other Browsers.
- TWC presently has Google Page Rank 6 and Alexa Rank of around 14,000.
- TWC & our freeware FixWin was featured on Fox8Live News Channel.
Behind every friend, colleague, TWC forum member’s helping hand, I have seen the hand of God, and I am grateful to everyone for their cooperation!
