Visitors to the site use a compass control to navigate an interactive map and select destinations based on their favorite activities from extreme sports to high art. They can also build a top ten list of their favorite experiences, drawn from the Rough Guides book, Make the Most of Your Time on Earth, and share them with friends using Facebook, Twitter or email.

To experience the full rich experience of the new Rough Guides site, visit it with your Internet Explorer 9.

Microsoft is now also giving one lucky reader the chance to win a selection of books from one of the world’s leading travel content providers. To learn more about this, head over to the IE UK Blog.
