Split Google Chrome web browser screen into two screens

Speed Up My PC

E-commerce has changed the way we shop. All the products we used to purchase from stores is all available online these days. Often there comes a need when you need to compare two products on different pages. One of the alternative is the feature provided by the marketplace to compare the prices. The other being is compare the products appearance by placing them side by side simultaneously.

1 Split Google Chrome web browser screen into two screens

There is a Google extension that can help you achieve the mission of splitting the webpage into two screens.

Chrome users may install the “Frame two pages” extension for Google Chrome Browser from the website.

After the installation, an extension icon appears next to the address bar clicking on which the current tab will be merged with the previous one (on the left) into a frame-set with two columns (frames) or rows. the ordering of the split screens will be the same way as the tabs (left, right). If there is only a single tab, you’ll be asked about the URL of the left frame.

2 Split Google Chrome web browser screen into two screens

This extension has been helpful while I was trying to compare two wireless routers. You may select the split screen in rows or columns and thus make your selection easier.

Happy browsing!

This facillity has been built into OPERA for years.

Right click tab and select CLONE. You then have an identical page sitting side by side (depending on how you have tabs set to display) The duplicate page has the original page history allowing you to go backwards on either page, if you have been to [for example] 10 different pages then each will allow you to go back that amount and allow you to see and compare 10 pages back if required as well as forwards to a new one. A very handy facillity.
