Sony hasn’t heard of any such problems from Japanese customers as of now, however, Sony  has received 39 complaints from customers abroad about overheating and distortion problems, WSJ is reporting.

This problem could even give rise to skin burns but Sony hasn’t received any reports on this. Sony will recall approximately 259,000 laptops in the U.S., 103,000 in Europe, 120,000 in Asia, and 52,000 in Japan.

Users who own these Sony Vaio laptops covered by the recall can either have Sony pick up the laptop for repairing or download a software update that would fix the temperature problem .

This isnt the first time such a problem has occured with Sony, such problems have also occurred back in 2008 and 2006 !
