On the right side of the page you will have your “bookmarks bar” in a different layout than before. On the left side you will have all your bookmarks grouped hierarchically. There is also a possibility to add your favorite news feed to the page.

It uses Flickr for the background photos. Also you can specify your own with an url. Scrolling  works in most panes (mouse wheel).

Press Ctrl+t or click new tab “+” after you’ve installed this to try this out. Do note that you will have to change the Options manually if you want a “new tab” page to be your default start page.

Start! gives more flexibility and a more dynamic start page to Chrome browser. It may take a while to change one’s habits, but you may start like it once you get used to it.

It also has an optional feed reader. It takes one feed url, you can use feed bundles in Google Reader if you want multiple feeds into the same url.

Head over to the Start! Extension page to check it out!
