Microsoft to release a record 14 Security Bulletins on 10th August

Microsoft is all set to release a major set of security updates on 10th of August. The updates will include some of the critical updates of which as many as  8 bulletins have been labeled as ‘Critical’, with the remaining one’s being labeled as ‘Important’ updates.

The updates will address the vulnerabilities related to Silverlight, Office applications & Internet Explorer.

The updates will be made available for Windows XP SP2 and Sp3, Windows Vista, Windows7 and the Windows Server Editions (2003 and 2008), and will also include fixes for Office 2003 and Office 2007.

Some of the updates may require  you to restart your computer.

Microsoft will host a webcast to address customer questions on these bulletins on August 11, 2010, at 11:00 AM Pacific Time (US & Canada).
