Microsoft Tag has landed in India, thanks to eventNu, a Pune based company. This event portal is the first company in India to use Tag, offering it to event managers as a mobile marketing tool.
EventNu says Tag will enable event managers to link printed materials, giveaways, and displays to digital resources, creating more engaging experiences for attendees and improving the efficiency of event hosting.
The company suggests hosts could also use Tags for advertising, event registration and entry, name badges, lead generation, booth signage, and event navigation.
EventNu itself is using Tag on event tickets. Registered attendees might receive Tagged tickets with their information embedded, which could be scanned to check in at the event and verify their identity.
Attendees could also scan the Tag on their ticket to view additional event information, such as videos or updated schedules.
