To-date all we heard from Microsoft about Windows 8 officially was silence - except ofcourse the preview at the D9 conference. But it looks like Microsoft is now all ready to start a dialog about its next iteration of its operating system – Windows 8, on a regular basis.
Towards this end, Microsoft has launched the Building Windows 8 blog or simply B8 blog.
Windows 8 reimagines Windows for a new generation of computing devices, and will be the very best operating system for hundreds of millions of PCs, new and old, used by well over a billion people globally. It is also important to know that we’re 100% committed to running the software and supporting the hardware that is compatible with over 400 million Windows 7 licenses already sold and all the Windows 7 yet to be sold.
Looks like we can expect a public beta release of Windows 8 sonner than we thought.
Will it be released at the BUILD event to be held this September? Lets hope so!
