Microsoft Fix It Blog releases Unistaller for IE 8.

Mar 23rd, 2009. If you have problem after installing Internet Explorer 8 and want to remove it to revert back to IE 7, the Microsoft Fix-it team has developed an uninstaller for IE 8: UninstallIE80.MSI.

To have the Fix It guys remove Internet Explorer 8 for you, go to the “Fix it for me” section. If you would rather remove Internet Explorer yourself, go to the “Let me fix it myself” section.

When you remove Internet Explorer 8, your earlier version of Internet Explorer is restored with your customizations (such as add-ins, Favorites, and your home page).

To have the Fix It guys remove Internet Explorer 8 for you, go to the “Fix it for me” section. If you would rather remove Internet Explorer yourself, go to the “Let me fix it myself” section.

Note that it will create a restore point before starting to remove all traces of IE 8 from system.

Moreover, in order to help users to prevent from installing IE8 through Automatic Update , Microsoft has also released IE Blocker 8.0:
