Microsoft announced via its @windowsphone Twitter account that they would be dropping the ‘Series’ word, at the end of the product name, Windows Phone 7 Series .
Windows Phone 7 Series would now hence be referred to simply as Windows Phone 7.
“Tis the season for Series finales. We’ve got one too – dropping the ‘Series’ and keeping the ‘Windows Phone 7.’ Done.”
