Google Chrome users, you definitely want to check this out! All is Not Lost is an experimenet from Google Chrome, built in HTML5 especially for the Google Chrome browser.
All is Not Lost is an HTML5 music collaboration between the band OK Go, the dance troupe and choreographers Pilobolus, and Google.
At the beginning, you will be asked to fill in a message in the box provided. At the end of the dance, the dancers arrange themselves in the alpahabet-message of your choice.
One the dance starts, you will see dancers performing, different Chrome windows opening, closing, re-arranging and moving, to form wonderful patterns.
Different shots are rendered in different browser windows that move, re-size and re-align throughout the piece. With HTML5’s canvas technology, these videos are drawn in perfect timing with the music.
At the end you can save your message to the global gallery, create a message card, a wallpaper or mail and share your dance-message with friends. You can even embed your message in a music video and have the band dance it out.
The message All is not Lost is a message of support from the band and Microsoft Japan to the people of Japan, in the wake of the devastating earthquakes that rocked the country recently.
