A look at apps developed for Windows Phone 7

There are several apps for Windows Phone 7 being released on the internet, already! I just feel that third party apps are going to be  of  much  interest to the end-users.

Here are the details of few of the apps:

DoodlePad is a fun little application for Windows Phone 7 that helps fight off boredom.  Whether it is another boring meeting at work, a long line at the checkout counter, or just a an idea you need to jot down DoodlePad has your back.

Screen Capture will help you take a screen capture of the current screen the user is working on.

Microsoft Tag is an implementation of HCCB  using 4 colors in a 5 x 10 grid. Microsoft Tag application gives consumers an ability to use a phone’s on-board camera to take a picture of a tag, and be directed to information in any form, such as text, vCard, URL etc.

Record Jog uses the location services functionality of the phone, as well as the Silverlight Bing Maps user control. The application is aimed at joggers/runners, and simply allows users to start and end a running session and view their progress on a map.

The Weather app displays the weather of your chosen location using differing weather symbols as shown in the screen shot below.

Sokoban is a Windows Phone 7 Puzzle Game in Silverlight.

Since it also superb Metro UI users and developers got a wide range of opportunities for their applications . So I am personally expecting a lot out of WP7 apps.
