Windows 7 Taskbar Color Changer is a portable freeware which allows you change the color of your Windows 7 taskbar without changing the window color.

While one can always change the taskbar color, including the window color from the Personalization applet, this app lets you ‘change’ only the taskbar color. And not only that, it also makes your taskbar ‘appear opaque’ ,from the default translucent color.

For example, if you have a light wallpaper, you can make your taskbar dark without making everything else dark.

Do note for the app to run, Aero transparency must be enabled.

To set the taskbar back to its default state you have to set as desktop again the existing wallpaper.

You will not be able to change the wallpaper after you have used this app to change the taskbar color.
