Google to stop supporting IE 6 and other old browser versions

January 30th, 2010 . Filed under: IE. Tags: ,

Many companies have already stopped supporting older browsers like Internet Explorer 6.0 as well as browsers that are not supported by their own manufacturers.

Google too will begin phasing out its support for Internet Explorer 6 and older versions of Firefox, Chrome & Safari soon, starting with Google Docs and Google Sites.

As a result from March 1, 2010, key functionality within these products, as well as new Docs and Sites features, won’t work properly in older browsers.

So if you are using older versions, here is another reason to upgrade !

About time if you ask me. I honestly don’t know what makes people still use an old dinosaur like IE6.
