Google Screenwise will pay you to use Chrome and share your Internet usage

Google has quietly launched a new project called Screenwise that will pay you to share your internet browsing habits using Chrome, with the search giant.

You will be required to install a browser extension that will share with Google, all the websites you visit. You will have to be above 13 years of age, have a Google Account and be ready to use Chrome browser.

As a panelist, you’ll add a browser extension that will share with Google the sites you visit and how you use them. What we learn from you, and others like you, will help us improve Google products and services and make a better online experience for everyone.

For your surrendering your privacy, Google will up to $25 in gift cards.

    I really do not think $25 is worth handing over my surfing habits and privacy to Google. It’s not even like they are giving you the $25 up front. $5 up front then $5 every month you stick with it up to $25? …… I don’t think so, my online surfing habits and privacy is worth a little more than that. Besides, who knows who they will share it with also.
