Another new feature is the enhanced TuneUp Program Deactivator. It turns off programs that are not being used in order to conserve system resources and maximize PC performance. Users can ensure that all of the services, start-up entries, background processes and scheduled tasks of these disabled programs remain inactive until they are needed; the tool can then enable and disable on the fly. TuneUp Utilities 2012 also provides an intelligent wizard to assist users in determining what programs to deactivate. You can select infrequently used programs to hibernate in order to conserve system resources, freeing up working memory and improving start-up times. Initially, users can disable the programs and the various services, start-up entries, background processes and scheduled tasks that go along with them. Then, when users wish to use a program in hibernation, the enhanced feature can automatically enable it, and after users are finished, TuneUp Program Deactivator puts the program back into sleep mode on the fly.
