Giveaway: Oops!Backup 3.0 Windows backup software

The Oops!Backup Giveaway is back again for the third time by popular demand! Altaro is pleased to offer 10 licenses of their wonderful Windows backup software, to the readers of The Windows Club!

oops backup 3 manager Giveaway: Oops!Backup 3.0 Windows backup software

Oops!Backup  is a Windows backup software, that will allow you to not only bring back lost, deleted or misplaced files, it will also allow you to view past changes made to those files and to undo or adopt those changes! Oops!Backup is a reliable, easy to use and is an Automatic Continuous Data Protection (CDP) Backup Software for Desktop and Laptop PCs for the home and business environment.

Oops!Backup version 3 introduces the ability to hold backups across multiple storage devices simultaneously thereby doubling protection in case the primary backup drive fails. For example you can choose to store your main backups on an External drive and use a NAS as a redundant drive – and vice-versa.  If the main drive is lost you can get your backup files from the secondary drive –this in hand offers you Double Protection.

Features:

  • Very Fast & Reliable Backup. With Oops!Backup you can rest assured that your data is protected every time you make a change – without slowing down your PC.
  • Fully Automatic – Never Forget to Back Up Anymore. Detects file changes automatically and versions and backs up the files for you.
  • Fantastically Easy to Use with BackInTime Technology. Oops!Backup has been designed from the ground up to be easy and a pleasure to use.
  • Double-Protection with Backup Drive Redundancy. Automatically keep a double-backup to protect against theft, fire or losing of your backup drive.
  • Continuous Data Protection (CDP) for Best Protection. Highly tuned file-change-detection technology makes sure that you are protected at all times.
  • Back up directly to a UNC path. Backing up to a server or NAS using UNC paths makes it easy to protect computers when on a network.
  • Automatic Backup on Connect with Plug & Protect – for Laptop Users. Automatically initiates a backup when once the backup drive is connected to the computer.
  • Save Space – Only back up sections of files that changed using ReverseDelta™ Technology. Using its ReverseDelta™ incremental technology, Oops!Backup will only back up the actual changes you make to a file – without needing to back up the whole file again every time you make a change.
  • Back up to NAS, Network Drive & USB. Choose the locations where you want to back up to; offices can choose to backup to their server or NAS drive.

Oops!Backup Windows Backup Software costs $37, but 10 licenses are being offered free to the readers of TWC. To win a license simply tell us why you need this software. I have had multiple times where I have done wrong to applications that I should have not done. There is system restore, but you need to go there to make a backup every time you need to use it, and it backs up everything. I think having this is going to reduce my anxiety of making unchangeable mistakes. Seems to have a lot more features than system restore… :)

    Hi,

I have searched for freeware and cheap commercial backup software and Oops! has been mentioned quite a few times. We have 5 children with their own area’s on 2 computers and me and my wife share a laptop. We got sick of something of the neighbours interfering with our wireless network, I hard wired them. Now its time to use good backup software and this looks like it could be the best for the job.

Read some very favorable reviews about Oops!Backup on cnet. Have been searching for several months for a reliable backup program that suits my needs but so far have not found the ideal program. Perhaps this is the one.

Unfortunately I don’t have accounts with either Twitter or Facebook yet. Guess I’m just old fashioned.

I need this software because I don’t have a credit card to buy it!

  • ErnieK

There has been times in the past when I have altered a document or photo and saved it only to discover later that I need the original unaltered item. In situations like this OOPS would be the perfect software to have. Make a mistake\change say OUCH! and then just use OOPS to get the original back. No fuss – No bother.

Once set up just forget until needed for those OUCH! times.

    TWC,
Thank you for hosting this giveaway. I’m always interested in backup software. I’ve got 5TB of storage capacity in my system and about 2TB of data and stuff. Just recently, I was doing some repartitioning and reworking organization and lost (completely, I think) about 100 movies and nearly 300 audio books. Many of them rare or quite hard to find now. Yes, it was my own fault for not backing up appropriately. That’s why I want some software to be my Mother and backup for me.
Oops should be more than something I say when I’m in trouble.
Please enter me in the contest.

Thanks TWC & Altaro for this giveaway opportunity.

I have tried the trial version of Oops!Backup and liked it a lot. Unfortunately never happen to win myself a license. Please count me in for this giveaway. I liked the features like auto backup on connect, incremental backup, backing only changes files to save space, no manual intervention required once set, Double-Protection and others. The other backup software I used (not mentioning the complete name H**, S**) has not fully worked to my needs, features listed on their website and required me to check my backups to ensure things are in place.

Specifically want to mention that with my system having 7 Firefox windows open at any given time and in total 150 tabs in them, my system freezes everything at times. This freezing also included the oppsback software while it was still working (still only 8 minutes when I started the backup). When after 35-45 minutes the system was back alive responding, I was surprised to see my data (ebooks, pdf, doc, txt, html, mht files, songs, pictures) were 100% backed-up on my 1Tb WD external MyBook drive. It was a real surprise as my Firefox, outlook, avast, mbam, 2 IE windows, open text and doc files were all freezed; but Oops!Backup still worked and performed the tasks 100% without failing on me without any error message. Hats-off to the developer at Altaro.

    Please count me in.

Currently having problems with Paragon Backup 2010 freeware and no support from developers either. Would really like to try a new replacement which is simple and straight to the point. Please do consider me in.

    Hi,
I’m interested in this giveaway of Oops!Backup. Considering the fact that I lost data even after paying to the local repair shop, I should be able to use this backup software to create a copy of my data to an external drive. Writing to CD or DVD is not cost effective, as things go old, unwanted & unused.

    kindly consider me for this.
