Its been just a little over a month since the Firefox 8 release. Firefox 9 final has now been released by Mozilla and is available for download.

Firefox 9 features
Firefox 9 improves the JavaScript load time for complex pages. This will allow Firefox’s Javascript engine to process Javascript code much more quickly than before. Firefox 9 also expands support for HTML5 and CSS standards.
Firefox for Windows, Mac and Linux has new JavaScript enhancements that make Web browsing significantly faster almost by 30%. The latest update to Firefox includes Type Inference which boosts JavaScript performance and allow rich websites and Web apps with lots of pictures, videos, games and 3D graphics to load and run much faster. Type Inference is a feature of the SpiderMonkey JavaScript engine that integrates with the JaegerMonkey JIT compiler to provide analysis and help generate more efficient code.
The latest version of Firefox has the following changes:
- Added Type Inference, significantly improving JavaScript performance
- Improved browser speed by upto 30%
- Improved theme integration for Mac OS X Lion
- Added two finger swipe navigation for Mac OS X Lion
- Added support for querying Do Not Track status via JavaScript
- Added support for font-stretch and text-overflow
- Improved standards support for HTML5, MathML, and CSS
- Fixed several stability and security issues.
There are also some Mac Lion specific theme-integration features being introduced in this latest version.
