Pinning sites to your Windows 7 taskbar makes it simpler for you or your readers to access the various features or sections of your website.

To pin a website, just grab the tab and drag it down to your Windows 7 Taskbar!

Once a site is pinned, you can right-click on the icon to get a list that directs you to particular content on the site.

Try pinning TheWindowsClub.com to your taskbar and see what all it offers. If you are using IE9, simply drag and drop this tab to your taskbar to see how it works.

Nice feature. Wish it could work with Chrome.

Why would anyone need a wizard to pin sites? It is simple drag and drop. If that has the facility of creating jumplist, it would be better. For creating jumplists, just press and hold down SHIFT while dragging the favicon to taskbar.
I wish the IE team spends their time in creating usable extensions to IE9 instead of creating a wizard to pin sites, a wizard to bookmark sites etc.

BTW, the website pinmysite.com directs to http://buildmypinnedsite.com/en. The latter won’t show all components on IE9. So I used Chrome. Fine website offering code that helps users of a blog/website to pin it to their taskbar (if the website is using that code). Your article did not mention this.
