Build two apps and get a Windows Phone Mango device FREE from Microsoft Canada

Windows Phone is definitely hot property in the mobile market now. And with Nokia launching the first series of handsets running on the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) platform tomorrow at the Nokia World event, the stakes are even high.

But between this, Microsoft is playing the generous role and doling out FREE Windows Phone devices through some campaign or the other. Be it dishing free mobile devices via the I Unlock Joy program launched in India or in collaboration with Klout, its raining Windows Phone handsets. The I Unlock Joy program was launched after a similar one was first revealed by Microsoft Canada, called the Mango App Challenge.

Through the Mango App Challenge, Canadian developers can win a brand new Windows Phone running on the Mango OS worth $600 if they submit two quality apps and ensure they are certified on the Marketplace before the last date, i.e. December 15 2011. Unlike the Indian Campaign (I Unlock Joy) which is valid only for students, this initiative by Microsoft Canada holds good for every Canadian citizen, be it a professional developer or a student.

But there are many a catch. It is valid for the first 300 people who are registered in Marketplace and have submitted two (2) eligible applications that are accepted into Marketplace during the promotion period (September 27 2011 – December 15, 2011). However, the two Windows Phone apps need to be high on quality factors which are:
