Bing overtakes Yahoo Search global share.

Global monitoring service StatCounter findings are suggesting that Bing, Microsoft’s newest search Decision Engine, has overtaken Yahoo Search as the number two search service worlwide.

As on 4th June 2009, Bing had a global share of 5.56% whereas Yahoo had a share of 5.17%.

For North America, Bing had a share of 13.39% whereas Yahoo’s share was 9.05%.

The lead appears to be at the expense of Google’s market share.

Is this due to the momentum of the test-launchers or will we finally see a real Google challenger from Microsoft?

Only time will tell!
