One feature many want in Internet Explorer is the Paste and Go functionality, which you get to see in Maxthon, Opera, Chrome and even Firefox!. With this feature you need to simply copy the URL from anywhere, including a notepad, right click on the address bar and select Paste and Go, from the context menu, for the webpage to open directly.
Add Paste and Go to Internet Explorer
Here is how you can add this functionality to Internet Explorer 8: Open Notepad and paste the following code into it.
Save the file as as HTML file:
Next open Regedit and browse to the following key:
Right-click the MenuExt key and select New > Key. Rename the newly created key to Paste & Go.
Double click the (Default) entry in the right pPane for this new key and set the value to the location where you saved the file you created ie:
Right-click the right pane and create a new DWORD (32-bit) value. Rename the new key to Contexts and set its value to 1.
Your registry should look something like this now.
Now copy one or more URLs from Notepad or any other source.
Open a new Internet Explorer window and right-click anywhere in the content area and select Paste & Go from the context menu.
This will open the URLs.
