Rather than going through the Start Menu, there is an easy way to launch your Computer and access any file or folder from the Windows 7 taskbar.

To do so, right click on the taskbar > select Toolbars > New Toolbar.

In the ‘New Toolbar Choose a folder’ windows which pops up, select Computer and click on Select Folder.

Near your notification area, you will see a new toolbar ‘Computer’, from which you will be able to access any file or folder.
