AbAlarm is a free and an easy to use alarm clock software for Windows. It lets you create reminders, scheduled tasks, countdowns and different actions. AbAlarm 2013 help you become a punctual person by reminding of things you need to do at preset times. The software is available in Free and Pro version. In this post I will cover the Free version.
Free alarm clock for Windows
The alarm utility, AbAlarm, is very simply to use. You just need to choose the time when you want to be reminded, enter a reminder text and finally choose the alarm tune. AbAlarm comes with 10 preloaded sounds and you can even choose with ‘No Sound’ option. To make your processing faster, you can simply choose from the default alarm timings, viz. ‘Current Time + 1 hour’ and some more options like these.
AbAlarm also offers you a Countdown feature which lets you start a countdown for desired duration and add the text reminder with the countdown.
The most interesting features and alarm modes of AbAlarm are the Tea and Pizza mode. The tool comes with many pre-installed tea and pizza timings. In these modes, according to the ‘tea or pizza’ you select, the timer will be activated and after the elapse of that time, AbAlarm will remind to switch off the gas or the oven. This feature is sure to help people like me a lot. I put the tea on the gas, and forget about it – only to find a mess when I remember to go check it out. But now AbAlarm reminds me about it every time.
The built-in Scheduler allows you to create reminders that repeat themselves after a regular interval of times and helps in scheduling tasks. The Scheduler will always remind you, even if it is not running, AbAlarm Scheduler uses the Windows Task Manager to start itself and notify you.
You can also add actions to AbAlarm. Under the ‘Actions’ section, you can choose what to do after an interval of time. You can make AbAlarm shut down the computer, open a file or open a website on the computer at your own chosen time.
The program has a nice, tiny and an intuitive interface. With all the amazing features and a great interface it is one of the best free alarm clock utility.
